Trees don't care

......they just being. This morning I spent a little time gazing out of my kitchen window. In the distance I see some beautiful silver birch trees. Leafless they are displaying their elegant limbs waving gently in the breeze. They remind me of the hands high, swaying movement, of people at a music festival at the end of the night when the music takes a more gentle vibe. The thought struck me that, the trees are not worried about world affairs. We humans think we are so important with our fear and anger clouds which we wrap around each other. The trees don't care about us and our argumentative ways, neither do the birds I see flitting from garden to garden. They are just living a life of mindfulness, oblivious to humans who are circling the drain of anger and destruction. Yep nature has a lot to teach us.

Thoughts - weapons or medicine

Let's be careful where we put our energy over the coming days and weeks. We know that where we put our energy affects our experience on this planet. We all know people who constantly complain they have a lack of money or other resources or wherever they live they have 'terrible' neighbours and have arguments of boundaries/noise/overhanging trees etc. In their heads they are always going to have bad neighbours so that is where their energy goes. Imagine what happens when a lot of people put all their energy into anger/fear/anxiety/hate and it is very easy to be sucked into such energy clouds. What we put into our own environment seeps out into the energy of the planet. Energy follows thought so thoughts can be weapons or medicine to manifest great things. We can all influence what happens on this planet. Lets me careful with our thoughts and emotions. Relax as much as possible, have kind thoughts and smile even if you cannot laugh.

Another relaxation as things ramp up

So here we are on 22.02.22 and things seem to be ramping up in the world. When I talk to people it seems as if the fear/anxiety cloud seems to be hovering ever closer. As a therapist for over 25 years, the one thing I can offer is some simple relaxation meditations which are short, simple and effective. The following link is to a lovely gentle meditation. Guided Meditation

I have just added another guided meditation to my YouTube Channel. As the world seems a little more topsy turvey every day I feel there is a need for us to take time out and refresh our inner self.

A bit more flower-like

It has been a miserable cold, dark, wet winter and yet, the violets on the verge at the end of the street where I live have managed to come out in all their glory. These tiny little flowers like purple gems that, catch ones eye shining up out of the green grass. The brave little flowers do what flowers do, they open up and show the world their beauty. Flowers go with the season or conditions they have, they don’t worry about the snowfall that, might come tomorrow or if the mimosa tree up the road is sucking up more water than them, or that the daffodils are bigger than they are. If nobody ever saw them or bent to smell them they would still brighten up the patch where they are They ignore the animals domestic or wild that run, peck or pee around them. Scampering squirrels or hurrying humans we are all the same to them. Flowers just do their thing. I’m going to try to be a bit more flower-like and just do my thing.

And this morning even the sun is adding to the heartwarming shades of yellow and gold. It is amazing how much we humans are affected by colours. Getting out of the anger cloud

This morning I realised that I have been slowly sucked into the anger cloud. I am not feeling anger but, I have been adding my voice to that of many regarding, action we would like a certain person to take. I have been liking tweets and writing my own with a hashtag demanding that a certain person resign from their public office. This has been going on for quite some days. When I went to add my voice to the shouts of many others today I suddenly realised that I had become like one of those children who stand around others who are having a scrap, one of those who stand and shout 'fight, fight, fight' or like one of those people who join in a witch hunt against a colleague, adding fuel to the fire when there are spiteful whispers by the coffee machine. Know what I mean? And I realised I did not feel good about myself and my joining in with the bullying type behaviour. Not because those shouting for the action are wrong. No, I still feel we as a nature would be better off if the person concerned did the right thing. But I believe I can say I have never been a bully and don't want to be one. The main thing is, I truly believe that real change needs to come firstly from within and if someone is upsetting us we need to see what they are teaching us about ourselves. When we feel we are in order we can then bring forward positive change in the outside word. We can work with intent, we know that we can manifest what we want through seeing and feeling we already have what we desire but we do so from a place of love not hate. Energy follows thought and action follows words. We need to take care of where we place our focus. If we focus on the wrong being done and do so with anger, we feed the energy of what we want to be rid of. So, I am now going to put my energy into believing that right will be done and envisaging the bright future we all deserve. I will not give more of my energy to negativity, instead I will join with those who are focusing on using energy to change the world and disperse that anger cloud.

We all have something to offer

As we in the northern hemisphere, start to move into the third Springtime since the world closed down, it becomes clearer to me that it is time that each of us start to identify what we can offer the collective. There is such a huge cloud of fear and anger at the moment, if we don’t all try to dispel it we will get sucked more and more into it. We all have something to offer. The trouble is we don’t always see the value of our individual knowledge, skills and attributes. And, because we don’t always recognise and value what we have we believe that other people don’t need us. This is a false belief. Besides, if we offer what we have and others don’t accept our gifts that’s fine. If we have done our best with good intentions that in itself has fed into the matrix. Personally I have decided that I will use my skills as a therapist and record some simple audios to help people feel less stressed. When we are stressed we don’t see clearly and are less able to function efficiently. I am attaching a simple breathing exercise to this blog. It is offered, people can accept or reject it and that’s okay.

Stress Busting

At the moment a lot of people are finding it hard to avoid becoming sucked into either the anger cloud or the fear cloud. So, I decided I would start to post some simple, easy, short but effective stress busters on YouTube. As a therapist I know I cannot help everyone my time is limited but I can offer a few techniques.
